Deterioration in Haiti: A Call for Prayer

Between gang violence, food shortages, rising fuel costs, and increased instability, the infrastructure in Haiti has deteriorated even further. Families struggle to find work and many don’t send their children to school due to safety concerns. Many people face acute hunger. Agape encountered several obstacles shipping medical supplies and sending funds to our partners on the ground. We continue to work closely with them as things evolve. Please keep this situation in your earnest prayers.
While things in Haiti are incredibly difficult, God has given Agape the opportunity to continue its mission. In 2022, we joined hands with ASPI (a grassroots group of local healthcare professionals) to construct Agape health center which will provide health education, training, consultation, and counseling to the local community. In December, APSI paused construction for a one-day food and grocery distribution to 70 elderly people and widows along with medical consultations. Agape remains committed to sponsoring the education of 12 Haitian children. We also shipped 7 large boxes of diapers and other medical supplies to the Missionaries of the Poor in Haiti.
